The Agribusiness Society of UWI

The blog began as an extension of the Agribusiness Society of University of the West Indies.  I also serve as an executive member of the society. Therefore it is only fitting that a page on the blog be dedicated to the society.

The Society is made up of  students of the Faculty of Food and Agriculture within the University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine campus, Trinidad and Tobago. We are united in cause and have organized ourselves in order to bridge the gap between students and to widen the scale of opportunities to develop agriculture through agribusiness.

We hereby declare the Agribusiness Society (ABS) of UWI as a force with a firm commitment for the development of agribusiness by advocating for developing the full potential of our student base. We salute the efforts of those who have gone before us and pledge to continue to strive for the improvement of the student base.

Cause: To ensure adequate enabling conditions towards the development of agri-preneurs by empowering students through practical and theoretical learning. professional development, networking and service.
